FOS Researcher awarded 2018 Publons Award

Dr. Mohammad Mansoob Khan, a Senior Assistant Professor from the Department of Chemical Sciences, Faculty of Science (FOS), has been awarded the Publons Peer Review Award for 2018 for his contribution towards scholarly peer review and international editorial pursuits.

Dr. Khan has been recognised as one of the top 1 per cent of peer reviewers in his field. He is currently serving as a member of 4 editorial boards and a reviewer of 55 international journals. His review work demonstrated an outstanding expert commitment to protecting the integrity and accuracy of research published in areas of nanochemistry, nanosciences and nanotechnology, focusing on inorganic nanohybrid materials. This includes areas such as synthesis of gold and silver nanoparticles, nanocomposites and band gap engineering of semiconductors (metal oxide) and their applications in the hydrogen production, photocatalysis, photoelectrodes, sensor, peroxidase mimic and solar cell.

Dr. Khan was awarded the Publons Award in 2017. Publons is a website and free service for academics to track, verify and showcase their peer review and editorial contributions for academic journals. It was launched in 2012 and by 2017 more than 200,000 researchers have joined the site, adding more than one million reviews across 25,000 journals.

Dr. Mohammad Mansoob Khan, a Senior Assistant Professor from the Department of Chemical Sciences, Faculty of Science (FOS) was awarded the Publons Peer Review Award for 2018. He is currently serving as a member of 4 editorial boards and a reviewer of 55 international journals. Dr. Khan has 85 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, and conference proceedings, books and book chapters having overall more than 3800 citations with 36 h-index and 53 i10-index.
