The university has passed countless milestones, each one just as significant as the next. From four faculties, UBD now comprises eight faculties offering academic programmes across varying disciplines: Academy of Brunei Studies (APB), Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Faculty of Science (FOS), Faculty of Integrated Technologies (FIT), Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Pengiran Anak Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences (IHS), Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education (SHBIE) and UBD School of Business and Economics (UBDSBE).In 2009, UBD revamped its curriculum framework, internationalisation efforts and research initiatives, catapulting the university into the international higher education arena. UBD’s flagship GenNEXT programme is a unique broad-based multidisciplinary curriculum framework that allows students the freedom to explore their potential according to their individual learning needs.
