CAMES Postgraduate Symposium: Techno-Economic studies of Microgrid for Sustainable Development Goals
The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) recently organised the 6th annual Islamic Governance Symposium (IGS6).
The symposium was organised in collaboration with the Institute for Leadership, Innovation and Advancement (ILIA) and Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Centre for Islamic Studies (SOASCIS). Participants were also able to join the symposium online via Zoom.
The IGS6's theme focused on "Innovation & Technology in an Islamic System of Governance". The symposium sought to engage issues on the development of innovation and technology within the parameters of Islamic Governance and build upon discussions from previous symposia.
This year's theme was presented by eight distinguished speakers, consisting of six local speakers and two international speakers. The symposium was a blended event, where the local speakers articulated their thoughts and contributions in-person, while the international speakers discussed their ideas online. This exciting one-day event included two open forum discussions, which allowed participants to engage with the speakers and dive deeper into issues arising from the speakers' presentations.
