CAMES Postgraduate Symposium: Techno-Economic studies of Microgrid for Sustainable Development Goals
As a part of the shared commitment of Shell LiveWIRE Brunei and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) towards developing Bruneian expertise, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Saturday, 19th June 2021 at the UBD Startup Centre (USC).
This MoU signing provides a general framework for both organisations for cooperation and collaborations, as well as initiation of working relationship in different areas of mutual interest between UBD and Shell LiveWIRE. Particularly, both organisations are looking to enhance and channel student start-ups under the university's entrepreneurial initiatives with extended exposures to entrepreneurial education and intellectual property rights awareness.
The MOU also acts as a platform for joint or collaborative research in fields of mutual interest between UBD and Shell LiveWIRE. To further encourage and support the production of entrepreneurial mindset students, Shell LiveWIRE also accommodates UBD students for durational industrial attachment/placement in areas mutually agreed by both organisations.
The MoU was signed by Dayang Hajah Rosita binti Haji Hassan, In-Country Value Manager, Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd (BSP) and Chairman of Shell LiveWIRE Brunei, and Pg Dr Emeroylariffion bin Pg Hj Abas, Director of Innovation and Enterprise, Office of Assistant Vice Chancellor. Witnessing the signing were Prof Dr. Mohammad Ayub Sadiq @ Lin Naing, Assistant Vice Chancellor (Innovation & Enterprise) and Hj Abdul Yusrin bin DSLJ Hj Mohd Salleh, Programme Director of Shell LiveWIRE Brunei.
