Dr Jess Comley from the Environmental and Life Sciences Program of the Faculty of Science is conducting research on the population dynamics and human-crocodile conflict surrounding saltwater crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus), and seeks to hire a part-time Research Assistant for a period of 1 year starting from January 2023.

The Role

I seek a candidate who possesses adequate knowledge, skills, and experience in data management and who is willing to conduct face-to-face interviews. The candidate should be an outgoing and organised individual who has their own transportation and valid driver’s license.

Minimum requirements:

  • Degree in Biology or related field
  • Experience/willingness to conduct face-to-face interviews
  • Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative research skills
  • Demonstrated excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent listening and communication skills in both Malay and English
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct fieldwork

Payment Rate

Standard rates apply (e.g. $80/day for BA holder; $100/day for MSc holder)

Only allowed to work a maximum of 11 days per month.
