Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is proud to announce that our alumni Nur Hamiz’ah binti Razali and Nur Sabrina Haziqah binti Hassan, alongside UTB alumni Hasna Basirah binti Mazalan and Nurfarah Alia binti Haji Suhaimi, represented Brunei at the prestigious DigitalSpark Challenge held in Jakarta from September 30 to October 3, 2024.
The DigitalSpark Challenge is a dynamic 4-day Ideathon co-hosted by Indonesia and Australia in collaboration with The Asia Foundation and Love Frankie. This event brought together youth from ASEAN Member States, Timor-Leste, and Australia to develop and pitch innovative campaigns aimed at combating fake news through social media platforms.
Our students demonstrated exceptional creativity and commitment, engaging in meaningful discussions on digital literacy and the importance of accurate information in today’s digital landscape. Their participation not only highlights their dedication to addressing critical issues but also underscores UBD’s commitment to fostering future leaders equipped to tackle global challenges.
We commend Nur Hamiz’ah, Nur Sabrina, Hasna, and Nurfarah for their hard work and innovative contributions at the DigitalSpark Challenge. Their achievements reflect the spirit of excellence at UBD and our dedication to empowering our students to make a positive impact in the world.
