This commemorative book describes the rich history and remarkable achievement of Kuala Belalong Field Studies Centre (KBFSC) throughout the 30 years since its establishment. This book encapsulates over three decades of dedication, research innovations, achievements and milestones that has brought the KBFSC to its current status as the premier international field studies centre for tropical rainforest research and education activities in Brunei Darussalam.

The book provides an account of some of the impactful projects and initiatives from local and international researchers who have shaped KBFSC in the 30 years of its establishment. It also provides a visual journey of discovery via the compilation of stunning photographs of the rich biodiversity in KBFSC and its vicinity.

KBFSC continues to serve as a significant location for the discovery of novel scientific findings, including new species and new records of flora and fauna in Brunei Darussalam. Produced by Universiti Brunei Darussalam and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, this book celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the Brunei Rainforest Project and the establishment of KBFSC and offers a glimpse into the unique biodiversity and habitats of this pristine tropical rain forest.
