The Office of Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Sustainability seeks to hire two (2) HND-level full-time Research Assistants for a period of four (4) months, starting from 1st January to 30th April 2026.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy candidate with strong interest in workflow automation, low-code application development, and digital process optimisation. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining automated workflows using Microsoft 365 tools (Power Automate and Power Apps), as well as working with other integration platforms such as Zapier to streamline administrative and research processes across the university. The candidate will support the development of internal dashboards, form systems, approval processes, data integration pipelines, and productivity tools.
Minimum Requirements:
- Brunei Citizen.
- HND in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business IT, or related areas.
- Demonstrated experience in designing interfaces using Power Apps or other low-code platforms.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Power Automate, Zapier, Make (Integromat), or other automation services.
- Some experience with coding (e.g., scripting, basic programming in Python, JavaScript, or similar).
- Basic understanding of databases (e.g., Excel, SharePoint lists).
- Experience with workflow design, digital forms, process mapping, and API-based integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
Please note this is a full-time job and the candidates must not be full-time students or engage in any other employment.
