The Institute of Asian Studies is conducting a research on cultural landscapes of the Puak Belait, and seeks to hire One part-time Research Assistant (RA) for a period of two months starting from February 1 2026.
The Role
We seek physically fit candidates experienced in gathering primary data through face-to-face interviews. Candidates from Puak Belait or those with strong ties to the community will be given preference.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences
- Excellent skills in recruiting participants and conducting interviews
- Demonstrated qualitative research skills
- Demonstrated communication skills in Malay and English. Ability to converse in Belait language will be an added advantage.
