Part-time Research Assistant

Advertisement for TWO Research Assistant positions in IBER

Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research (IBER) is seeking to hire TWO Research Assistants as below:

1. One PhD level part time Research Assistant to work for 11 days a month for 6 months.
2. One MSc level part time Research Assistant to work for 11 days a month for 6 months.

The Role

The Research Assistant is expected to conduct fieldwork, lab work, interviews and literature searches. The Research Assistant is also responsible for procurement, data management, data analysis, maintaining files and other duties that may be assigned.

Minimum requirements:

1. Applicants should possess a PhD or Master of Science degree in Biology, Biological Sciences (or related field).
2. Have experience in conducting fieldwork and laboratory work.
3. Excellent written and oral communication skills both in English and Malay languages.
4. Possess a valid driving license and own transportation.
5. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
