The Brunei Studies Collection serves as a comprehensive repository that highlights works by both local and international authors, with a strong focus on Brunei’s unique heritage. This diverse collection includes a wide range of publications produced in Brunei, as well as special collections that offer invaluable insights into the nation’s history, culture, and traditions.
The MIB Corner is a dedicated space within the UBD Library, featuring a curated selection of publications, including books and newspaper clippings, that explore the core values of Melayu Islam Beraja. This corner serves as a vital resource for students, researchers, and the wider community, promoting a deeper appreciation of Brunei’s guiding principles in governance, religion, and social life.
At the regional level, the ASEAN Corner offers accurate, timely, and relevant information on ASEAN developments, enhancing awareness of the cultural, social, and political landscapes of member states. This collaboration with the ASEAN University Network (AUN) aims to establish information centers and learning hubs within higher education institutions, fostering deeper regional understanding and engagement.
The Islamic Studies Collection is a valuable resource for those interested in exploring the rich dimensions of Islam. This collection includes a diverse range of texts in English, Malay, and Arabic, covering subjects such as Islamic mysticism (Sufism), biographies of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Islamic law (Sharia), theology, and hadith studies.
