UBD has notable collaborations with local and foreign industries that align with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:

I.T Protective Security Services (ITPSS) Sdn Bhd and UBD are committed to enhancing I.T. security and cybersecurity in response to the ever-evolving cyber threats and challenges that require continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration. Cybersecurity is closely linked to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), particularly in safeguarding the privacy and security of personal information. Moreover, teaching cybersecurity at UBD is crucial for raising awareness and equipping future generations with the skills needed to use technology securely, aligning with SDG 4 (Quality Education)

Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd (MPC) and UBD signed a MoU that enables collaboration on academic, research, and technological projects, fostering innovation and growth. It focuses on the MBA program at UBD, designed to equip students with leadership skills, industry connections, and practical experience. The partnership with MPC will offer internships, study visits, training, and industrial engagement opportunities. The focus on academic and research collaboration, innovation, and development links closely to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by fostering advanced knowledge, leadership skills, and industry connections. The emphasis on industrial engagement, internships, and training ties to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), as it promotes practical skills, employment opportunities, and industry partnerships for sustainable economic development.

Recognising the importance of leveraging local expertise and resources, UBD has developed two key platforms: the UBD Expert Directory and the University and Industry (U&I) Platform. These platforms facilitate seamless communication between UBD and industry partners.

Through the U&I Platform, industries can:
