SUSTAINABILITY EDUCATION

Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is dedicated to delivering transformative education aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring that all students, regardless of their discipline, acquire relevant and practical knowledge on sustainability.

Currently, sustainability education is embedded across the curriculum with 25 modules covering critical topics such as “Climate Change Biology”, “Sustainable Resource Management”, “Social Welfare Protection”, and “Environmental Chemistry”. These modules are integrated across diverse faculties, including Sciences, Engineering, Education, Business, Health, and Social Arts, reflecting UBD’s commitment to sustainability in all areas of study. Plans are in place to expand the number of sustainability-focused modules, further strengthening this commitment.

By offering core and elective modules focused on sustainability principles, UBD ensures that every graduate is well-informed about the SDGs and equipped with the skills to drive sustainable development in their future careers.
