In celebration of Aidilfitri, Universiti Brunei Darussalam School of Business and Economics (UBDSBE) hosted a heartfelt Stakeholders’ Appreciation Event on May 9th, 2024.
Held at J Hotel Brunei, the event brought together nearly 200 guests, including industry leaders, alumni, and UBD officials. The guest of honour was UBD Vice Chancellor Dr Hazri Haji Kifle.
The event was a warm celebration of UBDSBE’s stakeholders, whose invaluable contributions have significantly shaped the school’s success. Dr Masairol Haji Masri, Dean of UBDSBE, delivered a speech highlighting this appreciation. He emphasised stakeholders’ crucial role, stating that their “expertise, insights, and networks are critical as we strive to evolve our programmes to meet the ever-changing needs of the industry and the global marketplace.”
The event’s theme, “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” reflected UBDSBE’s commitment to preparing future leaders who contribute to a more sustainable future. It also highlighted the school’s achievement of Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation, a hallmark of the world’s best business schools. The event showcased the school’s programmes and faculty research, which align with these goals and the SDGs theme.
Through continued stakeholder engagement, UBDSBE aims to ensure its programmes and research remain aligned with industry needs and contribute significantly to achieving SDGs. Ultimately, this collaboration will help UBDSBE shape impactful leaders who contribute to a prosperous and sustainable future. UBDSBE plans to host a series of stakeholder engagement activities throughout 2024, fostering ongoing dialogue and partnership opportunities through regular meetings, focus groups, and joint research projects.
