Bandar Seri Begawan, 10 February 2025 – The Office of Alumni Relations and Advancement (OARA), Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), officially launched its new website, a significant milestone in reconnecting with UBD alumni both in Brunei and across the globe. The event took place at Ruang Bicara Minda, UBD Library, on Monday, 10th February 2025.
This event marks a pivotal moment for UBD’s alumni engagement efforts, as the newly launched website serves as a dedicated platform to foster stronger relationships between the university and its graduates. With the presence of Guest of Honour Hajah Maudena Abdul Hamid, Acting Assistant Vice-Chancellor (University Life and Governance), and members from UBD’s first batch of alumni, the event underscores the importance of maintaining lifelong connections and creating opportunities for meaningful collaborations.
The OARA website introduces several key features designed to enhance the alumni experience. Among its highlights is the UBD Alumni Digital Card, which grants exclusive access to perks and discounts offered by partnered vendors. Additionally, the website features an “Events” page to keep alumni informed of upcoming engagements; an “Alumni Giveback” page to facilitate contributions towards UBD’s development; and a registration portal for mentors, encouraging experienced alumni to guide and support current students.
The presence of UBD’s pioneering alumni at the launch highlighted the continuity of UBD’s legacy, demonstrating the lasting impact the university has had on its graduates.
