Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and Curtin University Malaysia have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen academic and research collaborations between the two institutions. The signing ceremony, held at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, marks a significant milestone in fostering cross-border educational and research partnerships in the region.
The MoU was signed by Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice-Chancellor of UBD, and Professor Dr Vincent Lee Chieng Chen, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer of Curtin University Malaysia. Also present to witness the signing were Dr Haji Abdul Hanif bin Dato Paduka Haji Mahadi, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Sustainability) of UBD and Professor Dr Tuong-Thuy Vu, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Curtin University Malaysia.
This strategic partnership marks an exciting step towards advancing higher education, research, and training. By combining UBD’s academic excellence and sustainability focus with Curtin Malaysia’s industry-driven innovation and research expertise, this collaboration will open doors for student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and knowledge-sharing.
