Spectrum 2025: STELLAR – Student-Led Celebration of Emerging Artistic Voices

Spectrum 2025: STELLAR, a highly anticipated month-long art exhibition, will be opening its doors to the public from 16th April to 16th May 2025.

Officially launched by Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Vice-Chancellor Dr Hazri Haji Kifle on 16th April, the opening ceremony was attended by UBD senior management and event sponsors.

The exhibition is organised and run entirely by final-year students from the Design and Creative Industries (DCI) programme at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) in UBD to mark the culmination of their academic and creative journey.

Hosted in a spirit of innovation and collaboration, Spectrum 2025: STELLAR features the final-year projects of 65 emerging artists, each bringing a unique voice and perspective to the table. Visitors to the exhibition can expect a dynamic range of artistic mediums, ranging from paintings, photography, sculptures, video art, digital installations, and more, all reflecting the diversity and creativity of this new generation of artists. Each artist explores themes that are deeply personal, socially relevant, and visually striking, ultimately offering an inspiring glimpse into the future of contemporary art in Brunei Darussalam and beyond.

Located at the Right Wing of Chancellor Hall in UBD, visitors can view the exhibition for free. Closed on Monday, it is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 4pm. On Friday, it is open from 2pm to 6pm.

Spectrum 2025: STELLAR promises to be a transformative experience for visitors, be they art enthusiasts, collectors, or the general public. Follow the journey on social media at @ubdspectrum and stay tuned for artist features, behind-the-scenes content, and special event announcements.
