Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) held a Korban and Aqiqah Ceremony on Tuesday, 13 Zulhijjah 1446H / 10 June 2025 at the University Start-Up Centre, Student Affairs Building, in celebration of Eid al-Adha 1446H.
The event was jointly organised by the UBD Religious Committee, the Student Affairs Section, and the UBD Students’ Association (PMUBD), and was attended by staff, students, and invited guests.
The ceremony began with the arrival of the guest of honour, Dr Haji Masairol Haji Masri, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Industry Engagement and Enterprise Development) and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah lead by the Religious Officer, Haji Muhammad Dzulhilmi Haji Moharefandi.
A key highlight of the event was the distribution of Korban and Aqiqah meat, officiated by the guest of honour and further carried out by UBD’s Assistant Vice-Chancellors. The act reflected the values of sacrifice, generosity, and unity that define the significance of Eid al-Adha.
The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat, marking the end of a meaningful and spiritually enriching occasion.
