Master of Digital Public Health (Coursework)

Master of Digital Public Health coursework programme has two components: Public Health and Digital Science. Digital Science modules cover machine learning, predictive analytics and big data handling in Public Health field and Public Health modules cover Epidemiology, and Biostatistics. The core Digital Science modules is delivered in collaboration with University of Michigan – their online learning content. Completing this component, candidates will receive certificate of completion from the University of Michigan.

Type

Coursework (100% Online)

Lifelong Learning mode is very flexible; a candidate may –

  1. take modules on his/her own pace (e.g. one module in a semester or taking a break),
  2. study at his/her free time (online)
  3. study from his/her own country or come over to Brunei if you wish to
  4. just register interested modules without enrolling to the whole programme, and receive Micro Credential or a digital certificate

Entry requirements

  1. A minimum of an upper-second class honours degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant discipline and preferably with 2 years of relevant work experience after graduation for the First Degree.
  2. The relevant discipline can be either a STEM-related discipline (e.g. computer science, engineering) or a health-related disciplines (medicine, dental, nursing, pharmacology, nutrition, psychology, neuroscience and other allied health sciences or other relevant disciplines).
  3. Must meet the language requirements stipulated by the University.
  4. Shortlisted applicants may be required to undergo an interview on a case-by-case basis.

Programme Duration

  • Full Time: 18-24 months

  • Part Time: 36-48 months

Lifelong learning 10 years maximum

Graduation Requirement

To qualify for the award of the degree, a student must obtain 48 MCs, comprising of:

  • 24 MCs from Core Module
  • 12 MCs from Option Module
  • 12 MCs from Capstone Innovation Project

Lifelong learning students can be awarded Micro-Master Digital Public Health upon completion of 32 MCs (24 MCs Core plus 8 MCs of Option).

BND $ 700 per module (4 MCs)*

Additional fees of US$ 79 (subject to change) for three core digital science modules if you wish to have a certificate of completion from University of Michigan.
