The Environmental and Life Sciences Programme at the Faculty of Science, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, is currently undertaking fundamental research in aquaculture probiotics. Thus, we are seeking a highly motivated and qualified part-time Research Assistant to join our team for a six-month period, beginning 1 October 2025.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking candidates with a strong background in aquatic microbiology and molecular biology, particularly those with hands-on experience in: screening probiotics, microbial identification, and conducting fieldwork in aquaculture environments.
Minimum requirements:
To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bruneian Citizen
- Holds a Bachelor degree in Biology, specialising in Aquatic microbiology. MSc or PhD candidates preferred.
- Demonstrated a good research experience in screening probiotics and microbial identification.
- Excellent written communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with Scopus-indexed publications.
- Independent, diligent, and highly motivated.
