The Chemical Sciences within the Faculty of Science is seeking a part-time Research Assistant for a 3-month position commencing November 15th, 2024. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research in the computational investigation of organic structure-based nanomaterials, with a focus on applications in drug delivery systems.


The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with demonstrated expertise in conducting computational simulations for organic structure-based nanomaterials. The ideal applicant will possess:

  1. A strong foundation in relevant computational methods
  2. A proven track record of applying these skills to nanomaterial research
  3. Experience in performing and documenting computational experiments
  4. Proficiency in accurate data recording and management
  5. The ability to contribute to laboratory maintenance and operational efficiency

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing our research objectives through:

  • Executing sophisticated computational experiments
  • Ensuring careful documentation of experimental data

Minimum requirements:

  • Brunei citizen
  • Master of science in Chemistry
  • Able to carry out literature review, collect data and possesses relevant research skills
  • Competent to support research project by conducting computational experiments and collecting data in accordance with established protocols
  • Prepared to work closely with other team members and participate in regular meetings to discuss the progress and research outcomes
