PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences is seeking to hire a full-time Research Assistant to work on a cancer research project. The position is for a period of 6 months, starting from 03/02/2025.
Job Description:
As a RA, you will be expected to conduct experiments using a variety of histological, biochemical, molecular, and cellular techniques to investigate the role of our gene of interest in the carcinogenesis of endometrial and breast cancers. You will also assist with the experimental data analysis and contribute to the subsequent research publication.
In addition to experimental works, you will help with routine management of the research laboratory. This includes, but not limited, procurement of research materials, and training/supporting other laboratory members.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Essential: Master (or equivalent) in biomedical sciences, biochemistry, genomics, or a related field.
- Desirable: Research skills in histology, molecular biology, and cellular assays. Experience with qPCR, cellular function assays, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) and analysis is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with ion channel biology would be a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a collaborative research setting.
