The UBD School of Business and Economics (UBDSBE) is seeking two full-time Research Assistants for a 90-day project starting in September 2025. The research focuses on ‘Investigating Disruptive Technologies and Innovations for the Port and Shipping Ecosystem to Achieve Supply Chain Resilience’. Candidates with backgrounds in Technology Management, Business Strategy, or Supply Chain & Logistics are encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with information synthesis, literature review, data collection, and report preparation.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Model technology adoption policies or business strategies.
  • Complete tasks on time assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a Brunei Citizen.
  • Possess a Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a relevant field, or be an early-career PhD holder or a current PhD candidate.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, including experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R, or similar).
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office tools and data visualisation platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or Tableau).
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
