Entry Requirements

General Requirement

  • Grade B4 in English Language at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination ; or
  • Grade ‘A’ in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) ; or
  • IELTS overall score of 7.0 or better ; or
  • Any other equivalent

‘A’ Level Qualification or equivalent

A minimum of 320 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics with a minimum of Grade B.

This minimum requirement must be met in one examination sitting.


For Graduate Applicants

An internationally recognised Bachelor’s degree of first class honours in a relevant discipline from UBD or any other university recognised by the University Senate. This is in addition to graduates meeting the minimum requirements for A-Level or for International Baccalaureate.


International Baccalaureate

minimum score of 34 points with minimum of 6, 6, 5 points in relevant subjects (2 of which must be of higher level and the other of standard level; accepted subjects will be assessed on a case by case basis).

This minimum requirement must be met in one examination sitting.


Interview

Candidates fulfilling the entry requirements must pass the multiple mini-interviews (MMI) covering the pre-requisite bioscience knowledge, attitudes, ethics and other critical skills needed for a programme of dentistry.


Medical Fitness

Students must pass medical fitness examination in addition to the above entry requirement.
