About
Pg. Hj. Ashrol Rahimy received BA in Malay Language and Linguistics from Universiti Brunei Darussalam in 2007. He pursued his post-graduate study in MA in Computational Linguistics at University of Essex and graduated in 2010. He is currently teaching Level 1000-4000 modules and supervises Academic Exercise for final year BA students and Academic Research for MA students. He is also actively involved in FASS Discovery Year as one of the Internship Coordinators.

- Sociolinguistics (Minority languages of Brunei Darussalam; Language use, shift and change in Brunei Darussalam; Endangered languages; Code-mixing; Multilingualism; Language and technology)
- Morphology (Analysis of Malay affixes using the Lexical Functional Grammar framework)
- Syntax (Analysis of long-distance dependencies using the Lexical Functional Grammar framework)
- Computational Linguistics (Analysis of Malay language grammar using the Lexical Functional Grammar framework; PROLOG; Xerox Linguistics Environment)
