Scholars under the Universiti Brunei Darussalam – Zhejiang University (UBD-ZJU) Joint Chemical and Process Engineering Programme were celebrated in a graduation ceremony following the successful completion of their online studies from Zhejiang University, China and industrial training with Hengyi Industries at PMB.
20 scholars received their graduation certificates from the guest of honour, UBD Vice Chancellor Dr Hazri Haji Kifle and Madam Zhao Fu Zhen, Head of Department, Human Resources Department, Hengyi Industries.
The scholars were from the 9th batch of the UBD-ZJU Joint Chemical and Process Engineering Programme, which was established in 2014. It is a part of the four-year course for the Bachelor of Chemical and Process Engineering at the Faculty of Integrated Technologies (FIT). The programme also includes one and a half years of academic studies in UBD, one year of studies conducted by Zhejiang University and followed by six months of industrial training and another six months of internship with Hengyi Industries.
The scholars are now close to completing their academic journey, they have two semesters remaining before they embark on their careers in the petrochemical industry with Hengyi Industries.
