On the occasion of His Royal Highness Prince (Dr) Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) 51st birthday; UBD, UNISSA and UTB held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony which took place at the University Mosque, UBD on 16th February 2025.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education. Also in attendance were Dr Hazri Haji Kifle, Vice-Chancellor of UBD; Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Norarfan Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA; Dr. Mohamad Saiful bin Haji Omar, Acting Vice-CHancellor of UTB; permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretaries at the Ministry of Education; universities’ senior officials, lecturers, staff, and students.
The ceremony commenced with the mass Maghrib and Sunat Hajat prayers led by Awang Muhd Wafiy Awang Mohammad, Apprentice Officer of Mosque Affairs at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, which was then followed by the mass recitation of Surah Yassin and Doa Kesyukuran. The ceremony concluded with the mass Isya prayer.
