Frequently Asked Questions
I have just received my GCE A-Level results. How do I calculate my total A-Level points?
Total GCE A-Level points are calculated based on the tariff points assigned to each grade, as follows:
Grade ('A' Level) |
Tariff Points |
A* | 140 |
A | 120 |
B | 100 |
C | 80 |
D | 60 |
E | 40 |
So, for example, if you obtained 3 A-Levels with grades BBC, that equates to 100 + 100 +80 for a total of 280 points.
Tariff points required for admission are based on either 2 or 3 A-Level subjects. Should you have more than 3 A-Levels, only the top 2 or 3 will be considered.
