The Environmental and Life Sciences Programme of the Faculty of Science has a small Natural History Museum. As part of the museum activities, we are conducting fundamental research in the fields of Entomology, Herpetology, Malacology, and Bioinspiration among other topics. We are seeking to hire one Part-Time Research Assistant for a period of 1 year starting from 1 September 2026.
The Role
We seek candidates having knowledge in the fields of Museum Science, Entomology, Herpetology, Malacology, and Bioinspiration with laboratory and data analysis skills. Willingness to work alongside museum curators, volunteers, and hosting visitors to the museum will be a core duty.
Minimum requirements:
- Bruneian Citizen
- Bachelor of Biology, with knowledge and skills in the areas of Entomology and Bioinspiration
- Independent, hardworking and highly motivated with good communication skills.
- High attention to detail for database entry, citation management, and organizing research files.
