General Requirement
- Grade C6 in English Language at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination ; or
- Grade ‘B’ in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) ; or
- IELTS overall score 6.0 or better ; or
- Any other equivalent
‘A’ Level Qualification or equivalent
A minimum of 220 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects INCLUDING Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics.
(Any other subject combination may be considered on case by case basis)
Diploma Qualification
- A Higher National Diploma or National Diploma in Sciences or its equivalent with a minimum of 5 merits in related subject.
(Accepted subjects will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)
OR
- A Diploma in Health Science (Nursing or Midwifery or Paramedic) from Politeknik Brunei without work experience with qualification equivalent to Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s degree classification of Upper Second Class Honours (2:1) and above, and a completion of the Diploma with no repeat modules.
(This will be subject to yearly review. A two-year articulated Post-Registration BHSc Nursing/Midwifery programme is designed for these applicants.)
OR
- A Diploma in Health Science (Nursing or Midwifery or Paramedic) from Politeknik Brunei without work experience with qualification equivalent to Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s degree classification of Lower Second Class Honours (2:2), and a completion of the Diploma with no repeat modules.
(This will be subject to yearly review. A three-year articulated Post-Registration BHSc Nursing/Midwifery programme is designed for these applicants.)
OR
- A Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery or Paramedic with or without Post Basic or Advanced Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery or similar qualification with at least two (2) years work experience in their respective field.
(These applicants will be eligible to join the two-year articulated Post-Registration BHSc Nursing/Midwifery programme.)
Bachelor Degree with Honours
At least a Second Class Honours in a relevant discipline from Universiti Brunei Darussalam or any other university recognised by the University Senate.
International Baccalaureate
At least 26 points including a minimum of 5, 5, 4 in relevant subjects at the Higher Level.
(Accepted subjects will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)
Interview
Candidates fulfilling the entry requirements must pass the multiple mini- interview (MMI) covering the pre-requisite health care knowledge, attitudes, ethics and critical skills needed to join this programme.
Medical Fitness
Required to go through prescribed medical fitness examination and must be certified as fit to join the programme.
