The Corporate Communications Office (CCO) maintains the university’s public image by communicating messages and sustaining relationships with its stakeholders and the general public. It also manages media relations and marketing initiatives such as events and public outreach programmes.
CCO oversees publicity for the university by regularly liaising with the media about university news, events, developments, future endeavours and community outreach projects. It acts as the focal contact for all media agencies to ensure that media partners have sufficient and accurate information. At the same time, it also functions as the focal point for the general public.
Publicity and Promotions of Events
CCO also assists with publicity and promotions about university news and events via announcements, advertisements, press releases, newspaper feature pages, press conferences, exclusive radio and newspaper interviews, social media, the university website and roadshows. Aside from these, the Office also coordinates the production and maintenance of corporate communication materials such as corporate brochures, leaflets and billboard banners while ensuring the good image of the university and the corporate brand.
Additionally, CCO is the Office in charge of ensuring regular updating of information and scrolling banners on the university website, in addition to managing the production of “Discover UBD”, the quarterly university newsletter. The Office upholds the university’s public image and relationship with the public via its social media page, UBD Buzz.
