Global Discovery Programme

First launched in 2011, UBD’s Global Discovery Programme (GDP) is an enriching short-term programme providing both credit-bearing and non-credit-bearing courses, depending on the intensity of the programme. In addition to immersing themselves in a stimulating, challenging, and progressive academic environment, international students also have the opportunity to explore the diverse culture of Brunei Darussalam through field trips and excursions.

Our flagship courses span a duration of 4 weeks, encompassing the Discover Brunei Course, Global Entrepreneurship Summer School, Global Leadership Summer Camp, Discover Malay Course, and Intensive English Proficiency Course.

The GDP further provides customisable programmes with flexible durations and dates, strategically tailored to address the specific interests and needs of both partner and non-partner universities. These programmes are collaboratively designed with teams of UBD Experts representing diverse expertise in fields including biodiversity, language, culture, technology, humanities, business, Islamic finance, and many more.
